Maharashtra Implements AI and Drone Technology to Combat Deadly Leopard Attacks

Maharashtra's Forest Department has deployed advanced technology including AI-based alert systems and drone surveillance to address the growing threat of leopard attacks that have claimed three lives in recent weeks. Under Forest Minister Ganesh Naik's direction, the government has allocated Rs 11 crore for emergency response resources, installed 1,000 additional cages in high-risk areas, and implemented strategic measures to minimize human-wildlife conflict across Pune, Ahilyanagar, and Nashik districts.
