Israeli Aerospace Industries Commits to India's 30% Indigenous Content Requirement for Rs 8,000-Crore Mid-Air Refueller Contract

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has emerged as the sole bidder for India's Rs 8,000-crore contract for six mid-air refuelling aircraft, confirming full compliance with the 30% 'Make in India' requirement. If successful, IAI will convert six second-hand Boeing 767 commercial aircraft into tankers, enhancing the Indian Air Force's aerial refuelling capabilities beyond its aging Il-78 fleet.
