Centre to Establish Dedicated NIA Courts in Every State to Expedite Terror-Related Trials

The Supreme Court has been informed that the Centre will establish dedicated NIA courts in all states and Union territories to ensure speedy trials in terror-related cases, with additional courts in regions having more than 10 cases. The Delhi government is also creating 16 special courts for organized crime and terrorism cases, as the judiciary seeks to address jurisdictional challenges that often benefit hardened criminals across the National Capital Region.
