Originally displayed in newspaper advertisements before the film's premiere, this historic artwork was kept by producer Gary Kurtz before being sold by Heritage Auctions, surpassing the previous franchise record held by Darth Vader's lightsaber.

This perfectly preserved piece of comic book history, rated 9.0 by CGC, has become the most expensive comic ever sold, surpassing the previous $6 million record set by Action Comics No. 1.
