OTP Verification Now Mandatory for Tatkal Railway Tickets Purchased at Reservation Counters

Indian Railways has implemented a new OTP-based verification system for Tatkal ticket purchases at reservation counters to enhance security and ensure genuine passengers have better access to last-minute bookings. Initially tested on 52 trains, this anti-fraud measure will soon be extended to all trains nationwide, complementing the earlier Aadhaar verification requirements for online bookings.
