The Delhi High Court has dismissed an FIR against Venkateshwar Hospital and a senior doctor in a medical negligence case involving a cotton mop left inside a patient during C-section surgery. After a Rs 14 lakh settlement and considering the Delhi Medical Council's finding that the incident was unintentional, Justice Amit Mahajan ruled that continuing legal proceedings would serve no purpose.
