After a Rs 14 lakh settlement and considering the Delhi Medical Council's finding that the incident was unintentional, Justice Amit Mahajan ruled that continuing legal proceedings would serve no purpose.

The Karnataka High Court has quashed rape charges against a 23-year-old man, ruling that his relationship with the complainant, which began on a dating app, was consensual. Justice M Nagaprasanna determined that their communications clearly indicated mutual consent, stating that disappointed relationships cannot typically be transformed into criminal offenses under law.
