The Indian Gorkha Janshakti Front (IGJF) from West Bengal's Darjeeling district has expressed interest in joining the 'One North East' platform, a unified regional political coalition. IGJF President Ajoy Edwards recently met with Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and other leaders in Shillong to discuss collaboration. The alliance aims to address shared concerns of hill and tribal communities across North East India and North Bengal, focusing on constitutional rights, land protection, and equitable representation for historically marginalized regions.
