Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has categorically denied BJP allegations that he sought an alliance with the central ruling party in 2024 for statehood restoration, swearing on the Holy Quran that no such approach was made. This comes amid escalating political tensions as opposition leader Sunil Sharma continues to claim Abdullah made overtures to the BJP both in 2014 and 2024.
