Amit Shah Counters Congress on EVMs: Highlights Rajiv Gandhi's Role in Introducing Electronic Voting

Union Home Minister Amit Shah responded to opposition claims by noting that Electronic Voting Machines were originally introduced by former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, whose son now opposes them. During a Lok Sabha discussion, Shah pointed out that Congress won the first EVM election in 2004 but only raised concerns after BJP's 2014 victory. This comes amid Rahul Gandhi's accusations of BJP manipulating the Election Commission and his calls for comprehensive electoral reforms.
