Rajasthan ATS Arrests Man with Taliban Links Who Was Radicalizing Others

Maulana Osama Umar from Barmer was arrested by Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad for maintaining four-year contact with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and attempting to radicalize others. Authorities discovered he was planning to escape to Afghanistan and was communicating with terrorist commanders through internet calling. Three of the five men detained were from the sensitive border district of Barmer.
