The Delhi High Court has directed Indian authorities to ensure the safety and possible repatriation of a 25-year-old Indian nurse allegedly held captive in Dubai by a foreign national who initially offered her employment. Justice Sachin Datta ordered immediate intervention after the woman's father petitioned the court, presenting evidence of physical abuse and passport confiscation that has prevented her return to India since January 2023.
