Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and 16 others have been formally charged with murder, kidnapping, and criminal conspiracy in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case. All accused have pleaded not guilty, with the trial set to begin on November 10. Prosecutors allege the victim was kidnapped and fatally beaten after sending inappropriate messages to Darshan's associate Pavithra Gowda.
