A high-ranking police officer in Uttar Pradesh, DSP Rishikant Shukla, has been suspended following an SIT investigation that uncovered nearly Rs 100 crore in undeclared assets and connections to an extortion network. The probe revealed multiple properties registered under his PAN card and alleged collaboration with a gangster in fake cases, extortion, and land grabbing operations during his tenure in Kanpur.
