75-Year-Old Japanese Woman Arrested for Keeping Daughter's Body in Freezer for Two Decades

Japanese authorities have arrested a 75-year-old woman named Keiko Mori who confessed to preserving her daughter's body in a deep freezer for approximately 20 years in her Ibaraki prefecture home. Police discovered the corpse positioned face-down in the freezer after Mori reported her actions. The deceased, identified as her daughter Makiko born in 1975, was found dressed in minimal clothing. Mori, who was arrested on charges of improper body disposal, claimed she purchased the freezer specifically to contain the odor from the decomposing remains.
