India Set to Become Global Epicenter of Oil Demand Growth Through 2035: IEA Report

The International Energy Agency reports that India will lead global oil demand growth over the next decade, with consumption projected to increase from 5.5 million barrels per day in 2024 to 8 million by 2035. Despite achieving its 50% non-fossil power capacity target ahead of schedule, India's rapid economic growth at 6% annually will drive energy demand across all sectors, solidifying its position as the new epicenter of global energy consumption growth.
