Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has warned that denying meritorious Muslim students admission to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence based on religious grounds could lead to radicalization. The controversy emerged after BJP MLAs demanded reserving seats exclusively for students who have faith in Mata Vaishno Devi, despite admissions being merit-based through NEET exams.
