Delhi's Ambitious Plan: 17 Urban Forests to Combat Air Pollution and Expand Green Cover

The Delhi government is implementing a comprehensive green initiative to develop 17 urban forests, including 15 'Namo Vans' and 2 Miyawaki forests, spanning over 177 acres across the national capital. This environmental project aims to enhance air quality, expand green spaces, and create natural air purification zones for Delhi's residents, with plantation work scheduled to begin in November under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
