Gujarat High Court Grants 6-Month Medical Bail to Asaram in 2013 Rape Case

The Gujarat High Court has granted self-styled godman Asaram six months of temporary bail on medical grounds in a 2013 rape case. The 84-year-old, currently serving life sentences for multiple rape convictions, received similar bail from the Rajasthan High Court last week. Asaram was convicted in Gandhinagar for raping a female disciple multiple times between 2001-2006.
