After a four-year suspension, Jammu and Kashmir has officially restored the historic Darbar Move tradition, reestablishing the biannual capital shift between Srinagar and Jammu. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reinstated this 150-year-old practice to restore regional balance and economic stability, with the Civil Secretariat reopening in Jammu on November 3 as the winter capital.
