Deadly Cough Syrup Claims Two Children's Lives in Rajasthan; Doctor Falls Unconscious After Testing Medicine

A government-supplied cough syrup manufactured by Kayson Pharma has resulted in two child deaths and sickened at least 10 others in Rajasthan. The medication, containing dextromethorphan hydrobromide, caused fatalities of children aged two and five, while a doctor who consumed it to demonstrate safety lost consciousness for eight hours. Authorities have banned 22 batches of the syrup and halted its distribution across the state.
